The P6KE250A is a unidirectional Zener TVS diode from Littelfuse Inc. designed for transient voltage suppression. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 214V, a maximum clamping voltage of 344V at 1.8A peak pulse current, and a peak pulse power dissipation of 600W for a 10/1000µs waveform. Steady state power dissipation is 5W on an infinite heat sink. The device offers a typical response time of less than 1 picosecond and operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C.
This diode is ideal for protecting sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning, ESD, and other transient events. It is commonly used in I/O interfaces, VCC bus lines, telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics. The glass passivated chip junction provides reliable clamping performance, and the device is compatible with high temperature reflow soldering (260°C/30 s).
The P6KE250A is packaged in a DO-204AC (DO-15) axial leaded through-hole package, making it suitable for through-hole mounting. It is available in unidirectional configuration only. The device is RoHS compliant, halogen free, and lead free with matte tin plating.
