The P6KE200A is a 600W transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode from Taiwan Semiconductor, designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It features a reverse standoff voltage (VRWM) of 171V and a maximum clamping voltage of 274V at 2.2A peak pulse current (10/1000µs waveform). The device responds to overvoltage events in typically less than 1.0ps, making it suitable for high-speed signal lines.
The P6KE200A uses a Zener breakdown mechanism and is unidirectional, with a single protection channel. It is rated for a wide operating junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C. The diode is housed in a DO-204AC (DO-15) axial leaded package with matte tin lead-free termination, compatible with through-hole mounting and high temperature reflow soldering up to 260°C for 30 seconds.
Typical applications include protection of I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronic devices. The P6KE200A is RoHS3 compliant and halogen free, meeting environmental requirements for modern designs.
