The Littelfuse P6KE16A is a 600W unidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 13.6V, a maximum clamping voltage of 22.5V at 27.1A peak pulse current (10/1000μs waveform), and a fast response time of less than 1.0ps.
This TVS diode uses a glass passivated chip junction and is housed in a DO-204AC (DO-15) axial leaded through-hole package. It supports an operating temperature range of -55°C to 175°C and has a steady state power dissipation of 5.0W on an infinite heat sink. The device is unidirectional with a single channel and is intended for general purpose applications.
The P6KE16A is part of the P6KE series from Littelfuse and is suitable for protecting I/O interfaces, VCC bus lines, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics. It is lead-free, halogen-free, and RoHS compliant.
