The P6KE16 is a unidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse designed to protect sensitive electronic circuits from voltage transients. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 13.6V and a breakdown voltage of 23.63V. With a peak pulse power rating of 600W (10/1000μs waveform) and a steady state power dissipation of 5W, it offers robust transient suppression.
The device has a fast response time of less than 1ps and can handle a peak forward surge current of 100A (8.3ms half sine wave, unidirectional only). It operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C. The through-hole DO-15 (DO-204AC) axial package allows easy mounting on PCBs.
Typical applications include general purpose circuit protection for I/O interfaces, VCC bus, telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics. The P6KE16 is glass passivated for reliability and meets IEC 61000-4-2 ESD requirements (30kV air/contact). It is halogen free and lead free (Pb-free E3).
