The P6KE15A is a unidirectional TVS (Transient Voltage Suppression) diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. It offers a peak pulse power dissipation of 600W (10/1000μs waveform) and a peak pulse current of 147A (8/20μs waveform).
The device features an ultra-fast response time of less than 1.0 ps from 0V to breakdown voltage, making it suitable for protecting I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits. The operating junction temperature range spans -55°C to 175°C, with steady state power dissipation of 5.0W on infinite heat sink.
The P6KE15A is housed in a DO-15 (DO-204AC) axial leaded through-hole package, compatible with high temperature reflow soldering up to 260°C for 30 seconds. It is designed with a glass passivated chip junction and is RoHS3 compliant.
The reverse standoff voltage (V_RWM) is 13 V.
The clamping voltage (V_C) is 27.2 V.
The peak pulse power (PPPM) is 600 W minimum, tested with a 10/1000μs waveform.
The peak pulse current (I_PP) is 147 A, tested with an 8/20μs waveform.
