The Littelfuse P6KE13CA is a 600W bidirectional Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 11.1V and a maximum clamping voltage of 18.2V at a peak pulse current of 33.5A (10/1000μs waveform). With a peak pulse power dissipation of 600W, this diode offers robust protection for I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronic applications.
The device utilizes a glass passivated chip junction in a DO-15 axial leaded package, providing fast response time typically less than 1.0ps from 0V to breakdown voltage. It offers excellent clamping capability and low incremental surge resistance. The P6KE13CA is bidirectional, suitable for protecting both positive and negative voltage transients. It can operate over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C, with typical thermal resistance of 20°C/W junction-to-lead and 75°C/W junction-to-ambient.
Key features include compatibility with high temperature reflow soldering (260°C/30s), and compliance with IEC 61000-4-2 ESD protection up to 30kV (air and contact). The device is lead-free with matte tin termination finish and is halogen free. It is through-hole mounted, making it suitable for various PCB assembly processes.
