The P6KE12A is a unidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode from Littelfuse, designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 10.2V and a maximum clamping voltage of 16.7V at 36.5A peak pulse current (10/1000μs waveform). The device can handle 600W peak pulse power dissipation and has a fast response time of less than 1 ps.
This TVS diode is housed in a through-hole DO-204AC (DO-15) axial leaded package with matte tin finish. It operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C and has a steady state power dissipation of 5.0W on infinite heat sink. The part is RoHS3 compliant, Pb-free (E3), and halogen free. Typical applications include protection of I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics.
