The P600J is a standard recovery rectifier diode from Diotec Semiconductor, designed for general purpose rectification. It offers a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage (VRRM) of 600V and an average forward rectified current (IFAV) of 6A with resistive load at 50°C ambient temperature. The forward voltage is typically below 1.0V at 5A and below 1.1V at 6A. The device features a standard recovery speed with a typical reverse recovery time (trr) of 1500 ns (1.5 µs).
For surge handling, the P600J can withstand peak forward surge currents (IFSM) of 360A at 50Hz (10ms) and 400A at 60Hz (8.3ms). Reverse leakage current is typically 1 µA and maximum 5 µA at 25°C, rising to 5 µA typical at 100°C. Junction capacitance is 40 pF at 4V. The operating junction temperature range is -50°C to 175°C.
The P600J is packaged in a P600 axial case with through-hole mounting. The package weight is approximately 1.7g and the case material is UL 94V-0 rated. It is supplied in ammo pack with a standard quantity of 500 pieces. The device is compliant with RoHS (exemption 7a), REACH, and Conflict Minerals regulations. Moisture sensitivity level (MSL) is not applicable for this through-hole package.
Typical applications include 50/60 Hz mains rectification, power supplies, and polarity protection circuits. It is suitable for commercial and industrial grade applications.
