The P4SMA300A-M3/61 is a unidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from Vishay General Semiconductor, part of the P4SMA series. It is designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients induced by inductive load switching and lightning.
Key electrical specifications include a reverse standoff voltage of 256V, a clamping voltage of 414V, and a peak pulse power rating of 300W (10/1000 μs waveform). The device can handle a peak pulse current of 730mA under the same waveform conditions. It features a single unidirectional channel and does not include power line protection.
The diode is housed in a DO-214AC (SMA) surface mount package with matte tin plated leads. It operates over a temperature range of -65°C to 150°C and has a power dissipation of 3.3W at 50°C with an infinite heatsink. The package meets UL 94 V-0 flammability rating.
