The P4SMA300A is a unidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse, designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients. It features a reverse stand-off voltage of 256V and a clamping voltage of 414V at a peak pulse current of 1A. The device can handle 400W of peak pulse power (10/1000μs waveform) and has a maximum peak forward surge current of 60A (8.3ms single half sine wave).
This TVS diode has a Zener breakdown mechanism with one unidirectional channel. It is not intended for power line protection but is suitable for general purpose applications such as I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics.
The P4SMA300A is housed in a DO-214AC (SMA) surface mount package with a low profile for compact PCB layouts. It supports an operating temperature range of -65°C to 150°C (junction) and has a storage range of -65°C to 175°C. The device is RoHS3 compliant, halogen-free, and has a Pb-free E3 terminal finish with MSL Level 1 unlimited.
