The P4SMA18A is a 400W unidirectional TVS (Transient Voltage Suppression) diode designed to protect sensitive electronic circuits from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. It is part of the P4SMA series from On Semiconductor.
Key electrical characteristics include a reverse standoff voltage of 15.3V, a minimum breakdown voltage of 17.1V, and a maximum clamping voltage of 25.5V at a peak pulse current of 15.9A (10/1000µs waveform). The diode offers a peak pulse power of 400W. It is not intended for power line protection.
The device is supplied in a DO-214AC (SMA) surface-mount package, with a moisture sensitivity level of 1 (unlimited). It is halogen-free and RoHS compliant (Pb-free E3 terminal finish). Operating temperature range is -65°C to 150°C.
