The P4KE75A is a 400W peak pulse power TVS diode from Littelfuse, designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients. It features a Zener breakdown mechanism and provides a maximum clamping voltage of 103V at the rated 4A peak pulse current (10/1000μs waveform). The device is unidirectional, ensuring fast response times of less than 1 picosecond from 0V to breakdown voltage.
In addition to transient protection, the diode can handle a steady state power dissipation of 1.5W on an infinite heat sink at 75°C lead temperature. It also supports a forward surge current of 60A (8.3ms half sine wave) and has a maximum forward voltage of 3.5V at 25A. The operating temperature range spans -55°C to 175°C, making it suitable for harsh environments.
Packaged in a DO-204AL (DO-41) axial leaded through-hole package, the P4KE75A is easy to integrate into circuit boards. Typical thermal resistance is 60°C/W junction-to-lead and 100°C/W junction-to-ambient. The device is RoHS3 compliant, lead-free (Pb-free E3), and halogen-free.
