The P4KE24CA is a bidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It is part of Littelfuse's P4KE series and features a peak pulse power dissipation of 400W for a 10/1000μs waveform.
With a reverse standoff voltage of 20.5V and a maximum clamping voltage of 33.2V at a peak pulse current of 12.3A, this diode provides effective clamping for overvoltage events. It offers a fast response time of less than 1.0ps from 0V to breakdown voltage, ensuring quick protection. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 175°C.
The device is available in a DO-204AL (DO-41) through-hole axial leaded package, suitable for general-purpose circuit protection applications. It has a steady state power dissipation of 1.5W with an infinite heat sink and typical thermal resistance of 60°C/W junction-to-lead and 100°C/W junction-to-ambient.
