P4KE20A

The P4KE20A is a 400W peak pulse power TVS diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It features a Zener technology unidirectional junction with a reverse standoff voltage of 17.1V and a clamping voltage of 27.7V at 15A peak pulse current. The device offers fast response time of less than 1.0ps and provides ESD protection up to 30kV air and contact discharge per IEC 61000-4-2.

This TVS diode is suitable for general purpose applications including I/O interfaces, VCC bus, telecom, computer, industrial ICT equipment, and consumer electronics. It is housed in a through-hole DO-204AL (DO-41) axial leaded package and operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C. The part is RoHS3 compliant, halogen free, and has a Pb-free E3 tin finish.

Key electrical characteristics include a maximum steady state power dissipation of 1.5W on infinite heat sink, peak forward surge current of 60A (8.3ms), and typical thermal resistance of 60°C/W junction-to-lead and 100°C/W junction-to-ambient.
