The P4KE120CA is a bidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse Inc., designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 102V and a maximum clamping voltage of 165V at a peak pulse current of 2.5A (10/1000µs waveform). With a peak pulse power dissipation of 400W, it offers robust protection for I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, industrial, and consumer applications.
The device utilizes a glass passivated chip junction in a DO-204AL (DO-41) axial leaded package, enabling through-hole mounting. It provides fast response time typically less than 1ps from 0V to breakdown voltage. Leakage current is ≤1µA for breakdown voltages above 12.6V. The P4KE120CA meets IEC 61000-4-2 ESD requirements with 30kV air and contact discharge withstand, and is compliant with IEC 61000-4-4 EFT protection.
Operating junction temperature range is -55°C to 175°C, with typical thermal resistance of 60°C/W junction-to-lead and 100°C/W junction-to-ambient. The part is RoHS3 compliant, halogen free, and has a flammability rating of UL 94 V-0. It is suitable for general purpose circuit protection in a wide range of environments.
