The Littelfuse Inc. P1500MEL is a high-performance SIDACtor Protection Thyristor engineered for robust overvoltage transient protection in demanding environments. This device offers a significant surge capability of 5000A (8/20 µs waveform), ensuring reliable protection against severe transients.

Key electrical characteristics include a minimum reverse standoff voltage (VDRM) of 140V and a breakdown voltage (VS) ranging from 400V to 650V. The thyristor exhibits a low on-state voltage with a maximum of 4V at 2.2A and a holding current (IH) between 50mA and 800mA. Its capacitance is rated at 650pF at 1MHz with a 2V bias.

Designed for ease of integration, the P1500MEL is housed in a rugged TO-218AC package and supports through-hole mounting. The component operates within a junction temperature range of -40°C to +150°C. It is also RoHS compliant, lead-free, and halogen-free, making it suitable for various modern electronic designs.
