The OP777ARMZ by ADI Electronics is a precision micropower operational amplifier. It features built-in input over-voltage protection, allowing differential voltages equal to the supply voltage without damage. Internal 500 Ω current limiting resistors are integrated in series with the inputs to minimize the chance of damage, with a recommended maximum input current of 5 mA.
The output stage is a CMOS type, providing excellent and symmetric output drive. With light loads, it can swing to within 1 mV of both 30V supply rails. The device is stable in a voltage follower configuration and can respond to signals as low as 1 mV above ground in single-supply operation. The supply voltage range is from 3.0V to 30V. The output is protected against accidental shorts to either supply voltage, provided the maximum die temperature is not exceeded.
This operational amplifier series is noted for not having clamp diodes between the inputs, which can interfere with certain application circuits like precision rectifiers and comparators. The OP777ARMZ series is free from such limitations, making it suitable for a wider range of precision applications.
