OB2211CPA

The OB2211CPA from On-Bright Electronics is a high-performance, offline PWM power switch designed for low-power AC/DC charger and adapter applications. It operates using primary-side sensing and regulation, eliminating the need for opto-couplers and TL431.

This device integrates proprietary Constant Voltage (CV) and Constant Current (CC) control. The constant current and output power can be adjusted externally via a sense resistor at the CS pin. It employs multi-mode operations for high efficiency, including fixed frequency mode at large loads, frequency reduction at light/medium loads, and 'Extended burst mode' at no/light load conditions. Key features include a 4ms power-on soft-start time, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, VDD over-voltage clamp, UVLO, and fail-safe protection for open loop faults.

With a 650V drain voltage rating and a typical operating frequency of 65kHz, the OB2211CPA offers excellent EMI performance due to its proprietary frequency shuffling technique and soft switching control. It is suitable for applications such as cell phone chargers, digital camera chargers, small power adapters, and auxiliary power supplies for PCs and TVs.

The OB2211CPA is available in a SOP8 package. It operates within a junction temperature range of -20°C to 150°C and a storage temperature range of -55°C to 150°C. The device also boasts a wide input voltage range of 85-265VAC and achieves efficiencies of up to 85% with standby power consumption below 100mW.
