The NUP2202W1T2G is a surge protection diode array from onsemi designed to protect high-speed data lines from electrostatic discharge (ESD), electrical fast transients (EFT), and lightning-induced surges. It integrates two unidirectional steering (rail-to-rail) channels in a compact SC-88 (SC70-6/SOT-363) surface-mount package.
Key electrical specifications include a reverse working voltage of 5V, a breakdown voltage of 6V (at 1 mA), and a clamping voltage of 8.5V typical (12.5V maximum) at 5A peak pulse current. The device can handle peak pulse currents up to 8A (8/20 µs waveform) with a peak power dissipation of 500W. It offers very low leakage current of 5 µA maximum and a low typical capacitance of 3 pF, making it suitable for high-speed signal lines.
The NUP2202W1T2G provides robust ESD protection meeting IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 standards (20 kV air and contact discharge), HBM (16 kV), and MM (400 V). It also withstands EFT bursts of 40A (5/50 ns). The device operates over a junction temperature range of -40°C to +125°C and is supplied in tape and reel packaging with 3000 units per reel.
