The NUP2105L from Diotec Semiconductor is a bidirectional ESD protection diode designed for general purpose circuit protection. It features a stand-off voltage of 24V and a breakdown voltage range of 26.2V to 32V at 1mA test current. The device provides a maximum clamping voltage of 44V at 8A peak pulse current (8/20µs waveform).
With a peak pulse power rating of 350W (8/20µs waveform), the NUP2105L offers robust protection against transient overvoltages. It achieves ESD immunity of ±30kV for both HBM air discharge (JESD-A114D) and IEC 61000-4-2 contact discharge. The typical junction capacitance is 30pF at 0V bias, and dynamic resistance is 0.28Ω. Maximum reverse leakage current is 0.1µA at 24V.
The device is housed in a surface-mount SOT-23-3 (TO-236) package, suitable for automated assembly. It is supplied on tape and reel (3000 per 7" reel) and has an MSL of Level 1. Operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C (junction temperature up to 125°C for standard version).
Typical applications include ESD protection for data lines, I/O ports, and CAN bus systems. The NUP2105L is RoHS compliant (without exemption), REACH compliant, and conflict minerals compliant. It is not intended for power line protection.
