The NTST40H120ECTG is a common cathode Schottky rectifier diode array from onsemi (formerly On Semiconductor). It utilizes fine lithography trench-based Schottky technology to achieve very low forward voltage and low leakage current, making it suitable for high-efficiency power conversion applications. The device is rated for a maximum reverse voltage of 120V and an average rectified forward current of 40A per device (20A per diode). It features a maximum forward voltage of 0.93V at 20A (25°C) and typical values as low as 0.54V at 5A. The part offers fast switching with exceptional temperature stability, low thermal resistance (0.81°C/W junction-to-case), and high surge capability (250A nonrepetitive peak surge current).
Typical applications include switching power supplies (notebook adapters, ATX, flat panel displays), high-frequency DC-DC converters, freewheeling and OR-ing diodes, reverse battery protection, and instrumentation. The device is housed in a TO-220-3 through-hole package with solderable leads and a flammable rating of UL 94-0 at 0.125 inches. It is Pb-free and marked as RoHS compliant (unverified).
With an operating temperature range of -40°C to 150°C, the NTST40H120ECTG is designed for demanding industrial and power supply environments. The dV/dt rating of 36 V/ns supports fast switching applications. The part is supplied in bulk packaging; standard package quantity is not verified.
