The NTST30100SG from ON Semiconductor is a trench-based Schottky rectifier designed for low forward voltage and high efficiency. It features a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 100V and an average rectified forward current of 30A at a case temperature of 105°C. The diode achieves a typical forward voltage of 0.47V at 5A, 0.55V at 10A, and 0.84V at 30A at 25°C, with even lower values at elevated temperatures. Nonrepetitive peak surge current is rated at 250A (half-wave, 60Hz), providing robust robustness for power supply applications.
The device exhibits fast recovery with typical switching speeds ≤500ns, making it suitable for high-frequency DC-DC converters and switching power supplies. Low thermal resistance (junction-to-case 2.0°C/W, junction-to-ambient 70°C/W) aids heat dissipation in typical designs. Operating junction temperature ranges from -40°C to 150°C, and storage temperature from -65°C to 175°C.
Packaged in a TO-220-3 through-hole case, the NTST30100SG weighs approximately 1.9 grams and features a UL 94-0 flammability-rated epoxy body. The leads are corrosion-resistant and readily solderable. The device is Pb-Free and provided in rail packaging of 50 units per rail. Applications include switching power supplies, DC-DC converters, freewheeling and OR-ing diodes, reverse battery protection, and instrumentation.
