The On Semiconductor NTS12120MFST1G is a very low forward voltage trench-based Schottky rectifier. It is rated for a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 120V and an average rectified forward current of 12A at a case temperature of 138°C. The forward voltage is typically 830 mV at 12A, ensuring low power loss and higher efficiency.
This device features fast switching with exceptional temperature stability, making it suitable for high-frequency applications such as switching power supplies, DC-DC converters, and freewheeling diodes. It also offers high surge capability of 200A non-repetitive peak surge current, providing robustness in demanding conditions.
The rectifier is packaged in a surface mount 5-DFN (5x6) (8-SOFL) case with 100% matte tin lead finish. It is Halide-Free and Pb-Free, meeting MSL 1 requirements. The operating junction temperature range is -55°C to 150°C, and the storage temperature range is -65°C to 150°C. This component is also available in an automotive-grade version (NRVTS12120MFS series) for applications requiring AEC-Q101 qualification.
