The NTE8103 is a one-shot thermal cutoff (thermal fuse) designed to provide over-temperature protection in electrical and electronic circuits. It is rated for a continuous current of 15A at 250V AC and has a rated functioning temperature of 104°C (219°F). The device holds reliably at temperatures up to 80°C (176°F) and opens when the ambient temperature exceeds the rated functioning threshold.
This thermal fuse is packaged in an axial lead form factor, suitable for through-hole mounting. It is safety certified by cUL, UL, and VDE, making it appropriate for use in appliances, power supplies, and other equipment requiring thermal protection.
Designers should note that this is a non-resettable device — once the thermal fuse opens, it must be replaced. The NTE8103 is a direct replacement for many industry-standard thermal cutoffs with similar ratings.
