The NTE5890 is a standard recovery rectifier diode designed for general purpose rectification applications. It is rated for a maximum reverse voltage of 1000 V and an average rectified forward current of 12 A. The diode exhibits a forward voltage of 1.26 V at a forward current of 38 A, ensuring efficient power conversion in moderate current circuits.
With a standard recovery speed greater than 500 ns, the NTE5890 is suitable for line frequency (50/60 Hz) rectification and other applications where fast switching is not required. Its operating temperature range spans from -65°C to 175°C, allowing use in harsh environments.
The component is offered in a DO-203AA (DO-4) stud mount package, which facilitates easy mounting on heat sinks for thermal management.
