The NTE5849 is a standard recovery rectifier diode designed for general purpose power rectification. It features a maximum reverse voltage of 1000V and a nominal average rectified current of 3A. The forward voltage is specified at 1.2V maximum when tested at 3A forward current.
This diode uses standard recovery technology with a reverse recovery time greater than 500ns, making it suitable for line frequency applications where fast switching is not required. The device is built for robust operation across a wide temperature range from -65°C to 175°C.
The NTE5849 is packaged in a DO-203AA (DO-4) stud mount case, which provides excellent thermal performance and mechanical stability. The stud mount design allows for secure attachment to a heatsink for efficient heat dissipation in high-current applications.
