The NTE558 is a fast recovery rectifier diode from NTE Electronics designed for general purpose and high voltage applications. It features a maximum DC reverse voltage of 1500V and an average rectified forward current of 500mA. The forward voltage drop is 2.4V maximum at 500mA, and the reverse recovery time is 500ns, enabling moderate speed switching. Junction capacitance is 20pF at 4V and 1MHz. The diode operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 150°C.
Packaged in a through-hole DO-41 (DO-204AL) axial leaded package, the NTE558 is suitable for high voltage rectification, voltage multiplier circuits, and snubber networks. The diode is mounted via through-hole soldering and is compatible with standard PCB assembly processes. Compliance to RoHS3 and REACH is indicated but unverified.
