The NSR0340P2T5G is a 40V Schottky barrier diode from On Semiconductor, designed for high-efficiency power management in portable electronics. It offers a maximum continuous forward current of 200 mA with a very low forward voltage drop of 290 mV typical at 10 mA, minimizing power loss. With a typical reverse recovery time of just 3 ns and low capacitance of 4 pF, this diode supports high-speed switching applications such as DC-DC converters, clamping, and reverse voltage protection.
The device is housed in a miniature SOD-923 surface-mount package, enabling space-constrained designs in mobile handsets, digital cameras, MP3 players, and GPS units. It is Pb-Free and rated for operation from -55°C to 125°C. Power dissipation is 190 mW with minimum trace, increasing to 570 mW with 1 in² copper on FR-4. The NSR0340P2T5G is supplied in tape and reel packaging with 8000 units per reel.
