The NSR0170P2T5G is a Schottky barrier diode from ON Semiconductor, designed for very low forward voltage drop and low leakage current. It is housed in a compact surface mount SOD-923 package, suitable for space-constrained applications. The device is Pb-Free, Halogen Free/BFR Free and RoHS compliant.
Key electrical characteristics include a maximum reverse voltage of 70V and continuous forward current of 70mA. Typical forward voltage is 560mV at 10mA and 730mV at 15mA. Reverse leakage current is only 25nA at 50V. The device features a low capacitance of 2pF, enabling high-speed switching.
Thermal performance includes power dissipation of 240mW on minimum trace and 710mW with 1 in² copper. Junction-to-ambient thermal resistance is 520°C/W (minimum trace) and 175°C/W (1 in² copper). The operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C. ESD ratings are Class 2 (Human Body Model) and Class B (Machine Model).
Typical applications include LCD and keypad backlighting, camera photo flash, DC-DC converters, reverse voltage and current protection, and clamping circuits. The device is supplied in tape and reel packaging with 3000 units per reel.
