The NSPU3071N2T5G is a unidirectional ESD and surge protection device designed by onsemi to protect voltage-sensitive components from electrostatic discharge (ESD) and electrical surges. It features a reverse working voltage of 7.9 V and a typical breakdown voltage of 8.4 V. The device provides excellent clamping capability with a typical clamping voltage of 9.1 V at 8 A and 9.5 V at 16 A, ensuring robust protection for downstream circuitry.
This TVS diode meets IEC61000-4-2 Level 4 ESD protection standards, withstanding contact and air discharges of ±30 kV. It also handles surge currents per IEC61000-4-5 (8x20 µs waveform) with a minimum peak pulse current of 25 A and a typical rating of 28.5 A. The device maintains very low reverse leakage current, typically 0.01 µA, making it suitable for battery-powered and low-power applications.
The NSPU3071N2T5G is housed in a small 1.0 mm x 0.6 mm X2DFN2 surface-mount package, ideal for space-constrained designs. It is Pb-free, Halogen Free/BFR Free, and RoHS compliant. Typical applications include USB VBUS and CC line protection, microphone line protection, and GPIO protection in portable electronics such as cellular phones, tablets, MP3 players, and digital cameras.
