The NSPM3042 is a 4.8V bidirectional ESD and surge protection device from On Semiconductor. It offers excellent clamping capability, low leakage, high peak pulse current handling (43A 8/20µs), and fast response time. Designed to protect voltage sensitive components from ESD, it meets IEC61000-4-2 Level 4 (±30kV contact/air discharge) and IEC61000-4-5 (43A).
The device is Pb-Free, Halogen Free/BFR Free, and RoHS compliant. It is available in a small 1.0mm x 0.6mm X2DFN2 package (2-XDFN), suitable for space-constrained applications like cellular phones, tablets, MP3 players, digital cameras, and portable electronics.
Typical applications include battery line protection, audio line protection, and GPIO. The device features low leakage current of 0.5µA maximum and typical capacitance of 80pF at 1MHz, making it suitable for high-speed data lines.
