The NSP8818MUTAG is a steering (rail-to-rail) TVS diode from On Semiconductor designed to protect high-speed data lines from ESD and surge events. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 3V and a clamping voltage of 15V at a peak pulse current of 35A (8/20µs). The device offers 8 unidirectional channels with ultra-low capacitance of 2pF max (I/O to I/O) and 5pF max (I/O to GND) at 1MHz, making it suitable for high-speed signal integrity.
This component is specifically intended for Ethernet applications including 10/100 and GbE interfaces. It provides IEC 61000-4-2 ESD protection of ±30kV contact and ±30kV air, and IEC 61000-4-5 lightning surge protection up to 35A. The device is housed in a surface-mount 10-UDFN exposed pad package (3.5x2mm) and supports an operating temperature range of -55°C to 125°C.
The NSP8818MUTAG is Pb-free, halogen free/BFR free, and RoHS compliant. It has a UL flammability rating of 94 V-0 and is supplied in tape and reel packaging with a standard quantity of 3000 pieces per reel.
