The NOVOSENSE NSA2860 is a versatile integrated circuit for sensor conditioning and transmitting applications. It is designed to work with resistive or voltage output sensors, including resistive bridge pressure sensors, thermocouples, and RTDs.
Key features include a 24-bit ADC for primary signal measurement and temperature measurement, a 16-bit DAC, and sensor calibration logic. The device supports multiple output types such as digital, 0-5V, 0-10V, 4-20mA, PWM, and PDM. It also integrates an external JFET regulator and a pair of constant current sources.
The NSA2860 offers advanced calibration capabilities, compensating for temperature drift of zero and span up to the 2nd order, and linearity up to the 3rd order. It is available in SSOP16 and TSSOP20 package options and operates within a wide temperature range of -40°C to 150°C.
Applications include pressure sensors and transmitters, thermocouple transmitters, RTD temperature transmitters, and other sensor-based systems. Its high integration allows for compact PCB designs with minimal external components.
