NS486SXF-25/NOPB

The NS486SXF-25/NOPB from Texas Instruments is an optimized 32-Bit 486-Class controller designed for embedded systems. It features an Intel486 SX core running at 25 MHz and supports dual supply voltages of 3.3V and 5.0V.

This microprocessor includes a 1 Kbyte instruction cache, an optimized DRAM controller supporting up to 8 Mbytes per bank, and up to nine versatile chip selects. It offers glueless interface to ISA peripherals and supports arbitration for an auxiliary processor. For data transfer, it provides four external DMA channels with a maximum transfer rate of 25 MByte/sec @ 25 MHz.

Connectivity options include a high-performance IEEE 1284 (ECP) bidirectional parallel port, MICROWIRE/Access.bus synchronous serial interfaces, and an Intel 82365 compatible PCMCIA interface. It also features an industry-standard interrupt controller, timers, a real-time clock, and a UART with an IrDA v1.0 port. The integrated LCD controller supports up to 4 grey scale supertwist liquid crystal displays up to 480 X 320 resolution.
