The NRVUS2MA is a fast recovery rectifier diode from onsemi, designed for surface mount applications. It is part of the US2MA series and is AEC-Q101 qualified for automotive use. The diode is rated for a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 1000V and an average forward current of 1.5A. It features a fast reverse recovery time of 75 ns (max) and a low forward voltage drop of 1.7V at 1.5A. The device is housed in a compact DO-214AC (SMA) package and is supplied in tape and reel packaging.
With a typical junction capacitance of 30pF and a high surge current capability of 50A, the NRVUS2MA is suitable for high-voltage rectification and freewheeling applications. Its operating temperature range spans -55°C to 150°C, with a thermal resistance of 189°C/W from junction to ambient. The diode is also UL 94 V-0 flammability rated and has an MSL of 1 (unlimited).
As noted in the datasheet, the NRVUS2MA is discontinued and not recommended for new designs. For existing designs, it remains a reliable choice for high-voltage fast switching rectification. The component is RoHS3 compliant, lead-free, and uses a green molding compound.
