The NRVTSS5100ET3G is a Trench Schottky rectifier from onsemi, rated for 100V reverse voltage and 5A average rectified forward current. It utilizes fine lithography trench-based Schottky technology to achieve very low forward voltage and low leakage current. Typical forward voltage is 0.65V at 5A and 25°C, dropping to 0.56V at 125°C. The device offers fast switching with exceptional temperature stability, making it suitable for high-frequency applications.
This rectifier is AEC-Q101 qualified and PPAP capable, suitable for automotive and other demanding environments. It is Pb-free and Halide-free, with a flammability rating of UL 94-0. The device is packaged in a surface-mount SMB (DO-214AA) case with matte tin termination finish. It supports a junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C and has an MSL 1 rating.
Typical applications include switching power supplies, DC-DC converters, freewheeling and OR-ing diodes, reverse battery protection, and LED lighting. The low forward voltage and high surge capability (50A non-repetitive) contribute to higher efficiency and lower power loss.
