The NRVS2M is a general-purpose rectifier diode from onsemi, part of the S2 family. It is rated for a maximum repetitive reverse voltage of 1000V and an average rectified forward current of 2A. The device is designed for standard recovery applications with a reverse recovery time of 2µs.
The diode offers a low forward voltage drop of 1.15V at 2A, minimizing power loss. It can handle non-repetitive peak forward surge currents up to 50A (8.3ms half-sine wave). Reverse current is limited to 1.0µA at 25°C and 125µA at 125°C. The junction capacitance is typically 30pF at 4V and 1MHz.
The NRVS2M is housed in a DO-214AA (SMB) surface-mount package, supplied in tape and reel with 3000 pieces per reel. It has a typical thermal resistance of 53°C/W junction-to-ambient when mounted on FR-4 PCB. Operating temperature range is -65°C to 150°C.
The device is RoHS compliant and Pb-free. It is suitable for power supplies, AC-DC rectification, and bypass diode applications. The NRV prefix indicates automotive qualification (AEC-Q101) and PPAP capability.
