The NLSX5014MUTAG from ON Semiconductor is a 4-bit configurable, dual-supply, autosensing bidirectional level translator. It does not require a direction control pin, and its I/O ports track independent VCC and VL supply rails, configurable from 0.9V to 4.5V. This design flexibility allows for translation to higher or lower logic signal voltages.
Key features include a wide operating voltage range of 0.9V to 4.5V for both VCC and VL, independent supply rails, and a high output current capability suitable for driving capacitive loads. The device supports a data rate of 100Mbps and offers a guaranteed data rate of 140 Mb/s for VCC, VL > 1.8 V. It also includes an Output Enable (EN) input for power reduction by putting I/O ports into a 3-state condition.
This level translator is available in a compact 12-UQFN package measuring 1.7 mm x 2.0 mm, making it suitable for space-constrained applications. It is designed for typical applications in mobile phones, PDAs, and other portable devices.
