The NLSX4378BFCT1G from On Semiconductor is a 4-bit, configurable, dual-supply, bidirectional auto-sensing level translator. It does not require a directional control pin, as the VCC I/O and VL I/O ports automatically track their respective power supply rails. The VCC supply rail can be configured from 1.65 V to 5.5 V, and the VL supply rail can also be configured from 1.65 V to 5.5 V. This allows for translation of voltage logic signals between the VL and VCC sides, supporting lower, higher, or equal voltage logic signals.

This translator features open-drain outputs with integrated 10 kΩ pullup resistors on the I/O lines, making it suitable for open-drain applications like the I2C communication bus. It guarantees a high-speed data rate of 24 Mb/s with low bit-to-bit skew. The Enable input and I/O lines are overvoltage tolerant up to 5.5 V, and it offers non-preferential power-up sequencing. The device operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.

The NLSX4378BFCT1G is available in a small, space-saving 12-WFBGA, FCBGA package, specifically a 12-FlipChip with dimensions of 2.02 x 1.54 mm. It is designed for surface mount applications.
