The Neutrik NL8MPR is a panel-mount speakON chassis connector, part of the standard for loudspeaker and amplifier interconnections. It features an 8-pole configuration and a reliable quick lock system that ensures contact only when fully engaged.
This connector is rated for 30 A rms continuous current and 40 A for audio signals with a 50% duty cycle, operating at up to 250 V ac. It has a low contact resistance of ≤ 3 mΩ after its lifetime of over 5000 mating cycles. The dielectric strength is 4 kVdc (peak) and insulation resistance is greater than 1 GΩ after damp heat.
The NL8MPR utilizes 3/16" FASTON flat tabs for termination, with contacts plated in 4 µm Ag and made from Bronze (CuSn8). The shell is constructed from Polyamide (PA 6 30 % GR) and features a square G-size flange for panel mounting. The panel cutout requires a diameter of at least 31.0 mm and a width/height of 29.2 mm. It is designed with an airtight construction, optimized for speaker applications.
Attention should be paid to the warning that speakON connectors are not to be used as AC mains or power supply connectors. The recommended fastening torque for installation is a maximum of 40 Ncm.
