The ON Semiconductor NFVA22512NP2T is an advanced Automotive Intelligent Power Module (IPM) from the ASPM34 Series. It provides a high-performance inverter output stage suitable for hybrid and electric vehicles.

This module integrates optimized gate drive for built-in IGBTs to minimize EMI and losses. It includes multiple on-module protection features such as under-voltage lockouts, over-current shutdown, thermal monitoring, and fault reporting. The high-speed HVIC requires a single supply voltage and translates logic-level gate inputs to the high-voltage, high-current drive signals needed for the internal IGBTs.

Key features include a 1200V, 25A 3-Phase IGBT inverter with integral gate drivers and protection, low-loss, short-circuit rated IGBTs, and very low thermal resistance using an Al2O3 DBC substrate. It also incorporates built-in bootstrap diodes, separate open-emitter pins for current sensing, a single-grounded power supply support, and a built-in NTC thermistor for temperature monitoring.

The NFVA22512NP2T is AEC & AQG324 Qualified and PPAP Capable. It is housed in a 34-Pin DIP Package suitable for through-hole mounting. Applications include automotive high voltage auxiliary motors like climate e-compressors, oil/water pumps, super/turbo chargers, and variety fans, as well as industrial motor motion control.
