The Neutrik NE8FBV is a ruggedized and lockable RJ45 connector system designed for demanding applications. This B-Series chassis connector features a vertical PCB mount with a latch lock and a maximum panel thickness accommodation of 3 mm. It is optimized for pro audio, video, and lighting network applications, fitting into standardized entertainment industry panels.

 

Electrically, the NE8FBV supports CAT5e / Class D performance according to TIA/EIA 568C and ISO/IEC 11801 standards, with a frequency range of 1-100 MHz. It is also capable of Power over Ethernet (PoE) type 4 class 8 (100W) according to IEEE 802.3bt. The connector has a rated current of 1.5 A per contact and a rated voltage of up to 57 V.

 

Mechanically, it offers an insertion force of ≤ 20 N and a withdrawal force of ≤ 20 N, with a lifetime exceeding 1000 mating cycles. The materials include bronze contacts with 0.2 µm Au over Ni plating, a PBTP 15% GR insert, and a zinc diecast shell with nickel plating. The operating temperature range is -30 °C to +80 °C, and it meets flammability standard UL 94 V-0.

 

This connector is designed for rear mounting and features a ground panel connection. It accommodates rugged etherCON NE8MC* or any standard RJ45 plug. Note that it does not intermate with CAT6 cable connector NE8MC6-MO and NKE6S* cables.
