The NE529D is a high-speed analog voltage comparator manufactured by Philips Semiconductors. It utilizes state-of-the-art Schottky diode technology combined with a conventional linear process, enabling the simultaneous fabrication of high-speed TTL gates and a precision linear amplifier on a single monolithic chip.
Key features include a fast 10ns propagation delay and complementary output gates that are compatible with TTL or ECL logic levels. The device boasts a wide common-mode and differential voltage range, with a typical gain of 5000. Electrical characteristics include an input offset voltage of 6mV typical at 25°C, and input bias current of 5µA typical at 25°C.
This voltage comparator is designed for applications such as A/D conversion, ECL-to-TTL and TTL-to-ECL interfacing, memory sensing, and optical data coupling. It operates within a temperature range of 0 to +70°C.
The NE529D is available in a 14-Pin Plastic Dual In-Line Package (DIP) and a 14-Pin Small Outline (SO) Package. The maximum power dissipation is 1420mW for the N package and 1040mW for the D package at 25°C ambient.
