The NCP176AMX120TCG from ON Semiconductor is a fast transient response, low voltage CMOS LDO regulator capable of delivering up to 500 mA of output current. It features a wide operating input voltage range from 1.4 V to 5.5 V, with an output voltage that can be set from 0.7 V to 3.6 V in 0.1 V steps.
Key electrical characteristics include a low quiescent current typically at 60 µA, a low dropout voltage of 130 mV at 500 mA and VOUT = 2.5 V, and high output voltage accuracy of ±0.8% for VOUT > 1.8 V. The regulator is stable with small ceramic capacitors and includes over-current and thermal shutdown protection (165°C).
