This controller supports Continuous Conduction Mode (CCM) in heavy-load conditions and Frequency-Clamped Critical Conduction Mode (FCCrM) in medium and light-load conditions. It offers firm control of the switching frequency between 25 kHz and 130 kHz, with a minimum DCM frequency forced above 25 kHz. The device operates with a voltage range of 9.5 V to 35 V and draws a current of 1.6 mA.

 

General features include a high-voltage start-up current source, internal compensation of the regulation loop, and X2 capacitor discharge function. It also incorporates fast line/load transient compensation and jittering for easier EMI filtering. Protection features include soft and fast overvoltage protection, line-sag and brown-out detection, and thermal shutdown.
