The NCP1562ADBR2G from On Semiconductor is a voltage mode PWM controller designed for high-efficiency DC-DC converters. It features dual control outputs with adjustable overlap delay to prevent simultaneous conduction and facilitate soft switching. The controller is suitable for driving primary MOSFETs in forward converters and can also drive active clamp circuit MOSFETs, synchronous rectifiers, or asymmetric half bridge circuits.
Key features include a high output drive capability of over 2.0 A, a maximum duty cycle limit of 85%, and fixed frequency operation up to 1.0 MHz. It incorporates soft-stop circuitry for controlled power-down during faults and a cycle-skip current limit. Additional functionalities include input voltage feedforward, bidirectional frequency synchronization, independent undervoltage and overvoltage detectors, and programmable soft-start.
