The NCL30001DR2G from ON Semiconductor is a versatile LED driver controller designed for high-efficiency single-stage power factor correction and step-down AC-DC power conversion. This integrated circuit is ideal for LED driver power supplies with power requirements between 40 W and 150 W, utilizing a flyback converter topology operating in continuous conduction mode (CCM).

Key features include voltage feedforward for improved loop response, frequency jittering to reduce EMI, and a proprietary Soft-Skip mode to minimize acoustic noise at light loads. It also incorporates a high-voltage startup circuit, brown-out detector, and an internal 160 ms fault timer. The multi-function latch-off pin allows for easy implementation of overvoltage and overtemperature fault detection circuits.

This controller supports an adjustable operating frequency from 20 kHz to 250 kHz. It is housed in a 16-SOIC package and designed for surface mounting. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 125°C (TJ). The NCL30001DR2G is suitable for applications such as LED street lights, low bay LED lighting, high power LED drivers, and architectural LED lighting.
