NCID9401

The NCID9401 is a high-speed, quad-channel digital isolator manufactured by On Semiconductor. It utilizes off-chip capacitive isolation technology to enable digital signals to communicate between systems without ground loops or hazardous voltages. This device supports isolated communications with a data rate of 10 Mbps and offers 5000Vrms isolation.

Key electrical specifications include a propagation delay of 200 ns and a pulse width distortion of 80 ns. It operates over an extended temperature range of -40°C to 125°C and is guaranteed over a supply voltage range of 2.5 V to 5.5 V. The isolator features 4 unidirectional channels and a high common mode transient immunity of 100 kV/µs.

The NCID9401 is housed in a 16-pin SOIC wide body package, suitable for surface mounting. It offers reliable high voltage insulation with 8 mm creepage and clearance distance and a Distance Through Insulation (DTI) of ≥ 0.5 mm. This makes it suitable for applications requiring robust isolation and safety.
