The Neutrik NC5MX is a 5-pole male cable connector from the industry-standard XLR series. It is designed for easy assembly with only four parts and no screws, featuring a compact design with a sturdy diecast shell and a fiberglass-reinforced hard plastic insert.
This connector boasts a rugged zinc diecast shell for long-lasting durability and a chuck-type strain relief system for secure cable clamping. The boot includes a rubber gland for high protection against bending stresses. Electrical specifications include a rated current of 7.5 A per contact, a rated voltage of less than 50 V, and a contact resistance of ≤ 3 mΩ.
Mechanical features include a cable outer diameter range of 3.5 - 8.0 mm, insertion and withdrawal forces of ≤ 20 N, and a lifetime exceeding 1000 mating cycles. Wiring is accomplished via solder contacts, and it utilizes a latch lock mechanism. The connector operates within a temperature range of -30 °C to +80 °C and offers IP 40 protection.
This product is UL recognized and complies with IEC 61076-2-103. Please note that the NC5MX is a phased-out product, with the NC5MXX serving as its direct replacement or successor.
