The Neutrik NC3FXX is a 3 pole female cable connector, representing the next generation of the worldwide accepted standard of XLR connectors. It features a nickel housing and silver contacts, offering low contact resistance and high integrity due to its unique cage design. The female contact incorporates a solder barrier to prevent solder from entering the mating area.
This connector is designed for ease of assembly and improved reliability. It includes an improved chuck type strain relief for higher pull-out force and a polyurethane gland boot for protection against cable bending stresses. The rugged zinc diecast shell ensures long-lasting dependability. Additional ground spring contacts enhance shell ground continuity, and an internal thread on the shell is well protected against damage.
Key electrical specifications include a contact resistance of less than 3 mΩ, capacitance between contacts of less than 4 pF, and insulation resistance greater than 10 GΩ (initial). The dielectric strength is 1.5 kVdc, and the rated current per contact is 16 A. Colored rings and boots are available for coding or identification purposes, making it a versatile choice for various audio applications.
